There is a proverb, 'Health is Wealth'. Perhaps it is the most precious wealth, because to a man it means more than anything else. Life is a burden to a man broken of poor health. He may be very rich, yet he suffers and groans and longs for death to end his sufferings. A poor but healthy man, on the other hand, enjoys sound sleep, though he may lie on hard ground. His movements are brisk and active, and he has the power of enjoying the pleasures of life.
The first thing necessary for sound health is regular physical exercise. It keeps both the body and the mind fit. There are bookworms who think that by devoting their whole time to their studies, they brighten their prospects in life. But nothing can be further from the truth. The brain cannot work if the body does not function properly. In fact, a sound brain can reside only in a sound body. The other things necessary for good health are proper food and regular habits.
