Courtesy means polite dealing in a civilised society. Courtesy does not cost anyone anything, but it can win the hearts in no time. It shows a sensible heart and a genial temperament. Like any other attributes, courtesy can be acquired by mere habit only. In many countries and in many families we find the members are so polite. They are so because they are trained up that way from the very childhood. The children also copy courtesy from their elders.
As already said courtesy does not cost us anything but it brings many advantages. It is all conquering. The physician who wants to be remembered and recalled by his new client should be polite and perfect gentleman in his appearence. Mere 'Hallo', 'How are you?', 'Thank you' can do miracles in some very tight corners. In the present day aviation world, all the airliners facing keen competition, engage air-hostesses specially skilled to express their courtesy to the passengers. Japanese people have made a dent in the present day business world with one of the greatest virtues they have-courtesy. They are now supreme in many fields. But it is surprising that initially they. appeared in the business world with only courtesy as heir prime capital. Genius, intelligence and skill-all lose half their utility and value if divorced from refinement and courtesy.
