Wrong: These are good news.
Right: This is good news.

Wrong: The ship sank with all his passengers. 
Right: The ship sank with all her passengers.

Right: The sun has completed his diurnal journey.
Wrong: The sun has completed her diurnal journey.

Wrong: One should do his duty. (Correct in American English)
Right : One should do one's duty.

Wrong: Everyone should do his duty. 
Right: Everyone should do his or her duty.
Right: Everyone should do their duty.

Wrong: This book is your/your's.
Right: This book is yours.

Wrong: He is a friend of me.
Right: He is a friend of mine.

Wrong: It's colour is green.
Right: Its colour is green.

Wrong: Anybody cannot do it.
Right : Nobody can do it.

"Do you have any money?" —
Wrong: Yes, I have any.
Wrong: No, I have no any.

Right: Yes, I have some.
Right: No. I have none.

Wrong: I invited them all but anybody did not come.
Right: I invited them all but none came.

"Will you have tea or coffee" —
Wrong: None, thanks.
Right: Neither, thanks.


Wrong: There's tea or coffee: you can have any. 
Right: There's tea or coffee: you can have either.

Wrong: I don't have something to say.
Right: I don't have anything to say.
Right: I have nothing to say.

Wrong: The people those came here are all foreigners.
Right: The people who/that came here are all foreigners.
