THE HAND THAT ROCKS THE CRADLE RULES THE WORLD

The proverb stresses the influence of a mother on her child and through him on the world at large. Childhood is the most important formative period of a man's life. During this time the mind is soft and pliable and can be moulded into any form one pleases. Therefore, the things that a child learns at home take a firm root in him and determines his future course of action. And it goes without saying that this learning he gets mostly from his mother as he lives under her direct supervision and constant care. So, she exerts a great influence in the formation of her son's character and in shaping his destiny, If a mother fails to bring up her child properly, the mother is held responsible for this failure, not the child. This failure may lead the child in the wrong path which will ultimately ruin the latent talents of the child. If her son becomes a great man, all the credit goes to mother. Therefore, every mother should be very much cautious of her son's bringing up.
