A BRIDAL PARTY

A bridal party is a group of people who accompany the bridegroom going for marriage. The party consists of children, young and old of the both sex. The near and dear ones of the bridegroom join the party. They put on their fine dressess. The bridegroom wears bridal dress. The bridegroom car is decorated with various flowers. There are some other cars and the rest get into those cars. The match maker leads the party to the place where the marriage ceremony takes place. A bridal party is in hilarious sprit. They cut jokes, laugh, sing and dance. Sometimes there is loud roar of laughter. Generally a bridal party starts at noon or in the evening. In the villages a bridal party starts for the bride's house on foot. The most faithful person carries the ornaments and other things bought for the would be bride. In rural areas a bridal party is seen especially in the Bengali months from Falgoon to Jyastha. But in the town a bridal party is seen found the year.
