Grammatical Rules

There are many grammatical rules and by applying those we can bring correct and good English in our day to day lives.

But there are some very important basic grammatical rules which we can't but learn. There are some important grammatical rules below:

➤ Rule : Subject + Verb + Indirect Object  + Direct Object  + Place + Time

Example :

I will tell you a story here now.  ( I will tell a story you now here ).

He will teach the students a good lesson today. ( He will teach a good lesson the students today.)

Mr Donald Trump gives his wife a necklace. ( Mr Donald Trump gives a necklace her wife.)

  📝  Note:
There are two kinds of object in an English sentence-
direct object and indirect object.

Direct object receives the action of the verb and it is the ultimate answer of 'what'.
I read a book. What do I read? The answer is a book , so a book is the direct object in this sentence.

Indirect object is determined with the presence of the direct object and in the question of to whom, for whom .

Example:
I will teach you a story here now.
(To) Whom will I tell a story here now?
The answer is you, so 'you' is the indirect object here.

Again,
Mr Donald Trump gives his wife a necklace.

➤ Rule : (Adverb) MPT - Adverb of Manner + Adverb of  Place + Adverb of Time

I will come fast here tomorrow.
In this sentence,
fast - Adverb of Manner
here- Adverb of Place
tomorrow- Adverb of Time

How are you improving  so slowly in Dhaka now a days ?

➤ Word Order of Adverb of frequency (time expressions-  always, never, usually)

➤ Subject + adverb of frequency. + main verb ( doing verb)
Example:
I always get up early.
David often takes his bath in the evenings.

☑️ But adverb of frequency takes its place after main verb when main verb is 'be'( am, is, are) verb.
He is never late.
I am always an early riser.

Review:

We go often to the cinema.
We often go to the cinema. (correct)

Next Friday I am going to the national mosque. (correct)

I am going to the mosque next Friday.(correct)

📝 Important Note:
Here both sentences are correct because adverbs of time are usually put at the end of a sentence but when we don't put emphasis on the time , the adverb of time can be put at  the end of the sentence.

He always doesn't play football.
He doesn't always play football.

Note: Subject + auxiliary/be + adverb of frequency + main verb + object, place, time
