ADULT ALLOWANCE

In the developed countries of the world an allowance is given to the old people for their livelihood. It is known as adult allowance. Very recently this system of adult allowance has been introduced in our country. with the passage of time every man and woman grow old. But the condition of the poor old men and women in our country are very deplorable. They lead a very miserable life. They have none to take proper care of them. Their sons and girls can not look after them because of their financial hardship (taif GeT if ). They can not support their own families let alone their parents. So the poor old men and women are left on the mercy of others. Finding no way of livelihood they take resort to begging. Considering their helpless condition government has set a monthly allowance for them. In each ward of a union parishad ten people will get Tk. 100 each. The amount is very poor in comparison to their need Later on the amount will be expanded. Though the amount is poor, it is a good initiative.
