☑️ List of Determiners 

(a) Articles: a, an, the

(b) Demonstratives: This, that, these, those.

(c) Possessives: my, our, your, their, his, her, its (Rahim's, Karim’s)

(d) Numerals: two, three, four or any numeral.

(e) Quantifiers: all, both, any, no, some, each, either, neither, every, much, many, little, few.



📝 Following determiners are used before  Singular Countable Nouns :

a, an, the every, each, either, neither etc. 

He has a pen.
She took an orange.
Beware of the dog. 
Each student has a pen
Neither pen is good. 
Either pen will do.
Every student in the class is present



📝 Following determiners are used with Plural Countable Noun :

the, all, some, these, those, both, few, a few, many, several, any numeral other than one.
The rose is a fine flower.
All men must die.
I have a few friends.


📄 Note: Plural Countable Noun is also used without determiner :
Horsey are faithful animals.



☑️ Usage of determiners THE and SOME  in plural countable noun :
I like flowers (not the flowers)
(flowers = flowers in general, not a particular group of flowers)

I am afraid of dogs. (not the dogs)



📄 But when plural countable noun is particular, THE is used :
I like the flowers of your garden.
(the flowers= the flowers of your
garden, not ‘flowers’ in general)



📝 Some + plural countable noun
When noun is particular, not in general.

I have seen some good films recently.
(films = some particular films, not films in general) 

I love bananas. 
(bananas = bananas in general, not bananas in particular)
