S2 = Subject 2 (Common Noun)
V = Verb

Degree 

Comparison between two persons/things

Positive 

Positive S1+ V+ as + positive + as +S2 


(He is as strong as lion.)

Comparative 

Comparative S2 + V+ not + comparative + than +S1 


(A lion is not stronger than he.)

Positive 

Positive S1 + V+ not + so/as + positive + as + S2


(Rima is not so tall as Shima)

Comparative 

Comparative S2 + V + comparative + than +S 


(Shima is taller than Rima.)


Degree 

Comparison between more than two persons/things

Superlative 

Superlative S +V+ the + superlative + S


He is the best boy in the class.

Comparative 

Comparative S + V + comparative + than any other +S2 or than all other + S2 (plural)


He is better than any other boy in the class.

Positive 

Positive No other +S2 + V (singular) +as/so positive + as +S


No other boy in the class is so good as he.

Superlative 

Superlative S1+ V +one of the + Superlative + S2 (plural)


He is one of the best boys in the class.

Comparative 

Comparative S+V+ comparative + than most other +S2 (plural)


He is better than most other boys in the class.

Positive 

Positive Very few + S2 (plural) + V (plural)+ as/so + positive + as + S1


Very few boys in the class are as good as he.
