Examples of Interjection

Interjections are words or phrases used to express strong emotions, feelings, or sudden reactions. They often stand alone and are not grammatically connected to the rest of the sentence. Here are some common interjections along with examples:

1. Wow! - used to express astonishment or admiration.

2. Oh no! - used to express disappointment or concern.
   Example: "Oh no! I forgot my keys at home."

3. Yay! - used to express excitement or joy.
   Example: "Yay! We won the game!"

4. Ouch! - used to express pain or discomfort.
   Example: "Ouch! I just stubbed my toe."

5. Hooray! - used to express celebration or triumph.
   Example: "Hooray! It's finally the weekend!"

6. Alas! - used to express sorrow or regret.
   Example: "Alas! I missed the last train."

7. Bravo! - used to express praise or approval.
   Example: "Bravo! That was an excellent performance."

8. Eww! - used to express disgust.
   Example: "Eww! This food tastes terrible."

9. Oops! - used to express a mild mistake or accident.
   Example: "Oops! I dropped my phone."

10. Huh? - used to express confusion or seeking clarification.
    Example: "Huh? What did you say?"

11. Phew! - used to express relief or exhaustion.
    Example: "Phew! I finally finished the project."

12. Well done! - used to express congratulations.
    Example: "Well done! You aced the exam."

13. Gosh! - used to express surprise or disbelief.
    Example: "Gosh! I can't believe she did that."

14. Yikes! - used to express fear or shock.
    Example: "Yikes! That was a close call."

15. Ugh! - used to express frustration or annoyance.
    Example: "Ugh! I can't figure this out."

Interjections add emotional emphasis to our conversations and writing, but they don't have a grammatical role in the sentence structure. They are standalone expressions that convey our feelings in a quick and direct manner.
