Your daily life

[Points: Introduction—your family—your primary duties—the usual pattern you follow in the morning, at midday, in the afternoon and in the evening—occasional departures from the routine.]

I am just young enjoying every second of my life. How sweet is everything! I love the blue sky, the green rolling meadow, the cool watery lakes and ponds. I love, too, the fun and frolic, and the dear faces I see around me of my father, mother and my little sister. I don't have a dull moment from the time I get up till I go to bed.

I rise, so to say, at cock-crow everyday and hurry through the morning toilet. Then I start the day with a quick run round the field, that warms me up. It also makes me feel fresh for the whole day. Back home, I find my mother awake. The break-fast is served on the table. A few slices of bread and a glass of milk or a boiled egg are all that I need. There is a lot of home-work to get through. By the time I finish, it is time for school. I am hungry enough to relish every single dish that mummy cooks for me.

So off to school go. The classes are lively. I feel a thrill whep I learn something new. How sounds are propagated? What are acids and alkalies? And so on. There are so much to learn!

Once the school is over, I am back home. I don't miss an hour's play in the afternoon at any cost. All my best friends turn up in the field everyday without fail. It is such enjoyable to kick about a ball. I feel just wonderful after play. My body streams with sweat. It gives me all the glow and warmth of health. In the evening I come back home and wash my hands and feet. I drink a cup of tea and get ready for a solid bit of mental work. I sit up over my books and notes for a couple of hours-reading and thinking. Then I take my night meal. By eleven I am fast asleep, well tired in body and mind. It is mostly a dreamless sleep.

When festival comes off, there happens to be a departure in my way of daily life. On such occasion, I feel fresh and bright with a little outing.
