The world of imagination is definitely more beautiful than the world of reality. The castles built in the air by the vision of a bright mind are definitely superior to the most beautiful palaces built by great architects. For there is a limit to the world of reality but imagination knows no bounds.
Throughout the history of mankind imagination has played an important and effective role in human life. All masterpieces of art, poetry and literature created by man have been preceded by imagination. A poet enters into the world of imagination before he can create something worthwhile for the world. It is the depth of imagination and idealistic perception of the images that bring about the final touches by artists, poets and literary figures.
The masterpieces at Konark Temple, Ajanta and Ellora caves - are the creation of human imagination. Their imagination, and final touches to their imagination in the actual shape, still make great impact on every one. People gape at the power of intensive imagination which must have preceded the culmination of their art.
Imagination is the father, not only of art but also of all scientific achievements. Man's imagination to fly like a bird led to the invention of the aeroplane. A scientist studies existing theories and then creates the image of the scientific devices which he wants to invent. Television, rockets, computers are all the inventions of scientists through imagination. It's also the best way of emotional relief of human beings. Truly speaking, most of the human beings would become insane without resort to imagination during the tire of worries. In fact, imagination is at the root of everything and rational man must always imagine.
But how about building castles in the air? Imagination for imaginations' sake? Just close your eyes and you are in the world of imagination, fantasy and fanciful world. You can have all the things however expensive they may be. You can fly to America, to the Polar regions, to the most unexplored and deep forests fighting wild animals. You can fly through outer space, can land on the moon and have the costasy of being the first man to be on the Jupiter. You can have anything, everything and can do all impossibles by imagination. There is no limit to your wishful thinking. They are all charming they are all superb. It is not recreative but exciting. This imaginery world is much more charming than the world of reality. You do not have to be a genius or a superman to achieve something in imagination. What you cannot achieve in real life can be achieved only in imagination. Let your imagination take you to the other world. Let your mind be peaceful-free from the world of reality. The result would be a new world created by you and only for you.
Besides, building castles in the air would not cost you anything. On the contrary, you may go on dreaming for ever. You are simply to be in a proper frame in mind to do so. The beauty of your castle would be in your mind-let not others spoil it.
