Both town life and country life have their advantages and dis advantages. The country has no good roads. There is poor electricity. no recreational facilities to suit different tastes. The sanitary condi tions are unsatisfactory and so are medical and educational facilities like hospitals, schools, etc. because good doctors and teachers generally avoid villages. Good drinking water and conveyances are badly wanting. The shops cannot supply all the needs of modern life. But it is rich in the beauties of nature with wide open sky, the green fields, beautiful flowers and murmuring streams. The fish and vegetables we get are fresh, the air we breath is pure. There is calmness every where and one is in direct touch with Nature which is sure to make one forget the worries of life.
Towns on the otherhand offer many facilities. There are good elec tricity and roads for comfortable transport, good schools and colleges for education, good hospitals and clinics for proper medical treatment. For recreation there are clubs, libraries and show-houses of different kinds. But they have disadvantages too. The air is full of pollution, roads are crowded and the food-stuffs are not pure and fresh. Living is costly. The constant din and bustle gets on one's nerves. Life here is cut off from the direct contact with Nature and it is purely artificial. Man becomes almost a machine. Hence the slogan of 'back to the village' gains ground to get out of the clutches of the artificial and materialistic life of the town.
