THE SCENE IN AN EXAMINATION HALL

In our country the scene in an examination hall is traditional. In the hall the examinees discuss the probable questions, take the last glance over their note books to refresh their memories. When the warning bell rings at 9-45 a. m. the examines take their respective seats, receive the answer scripts and write down their roll numbers and other necessary information on the title page. As soon as the final bell rings, the question papers are distributed to them. They take a hurried glance over the question papers and a quick change is seen over their faces. Some become nervous, some dazed and some beam with satisfaction. Some begin writing out the answers happily and some nervously. Some try to copy from other's script and while some try to adopt unfairmeans. The invigilators present in the hall keep watchful eyes on the examinees. However, as time goes on the candidates react with mixed feelings. Some want a glass of water to quench their thirst. Some look to and fro. When the warning bell rings at 12. 45 p. m, the candidates become easier than before. Some revise their scripts, some increase their speed to give answer of all the questions and those who take extra sheets get them sewed or stappled. At last the time is over and there is sudden rubble in the calm atmosphere. The invigilators collect the answer scripts. The examinees gradually leave the hall.
