ASRAYAN PROJECT

Asrayan project means giving shelter to the landless people. Most of the people of our country are very poor and have no land to live in. So they live under the open sky. They have drawn the attention of our government. And the government has started giving shelter to the landless. This project was first started in the coastal areas of our country in 1996. The project has been implemented in Gazipur. Brahmanbaria, Hatia and Noakhali. The government with the help of the army has built a house for the each landless poor family in these areas in order to make them self-rofiant. They are being given loans so that they can do something, eam money, lead a decent life and live in peace and happiness. There are also academic facilities for them They have formed co-operatives. They are cultivating fish and raising poultry. Really this stop of the government deserves praise.
